How iWR rankings work
The iWanamaker Rating (iWR) measures team and player strength based on stroke play events. Lower iWR = stronger — it works like a handicap differential. Player iWR is calculated from each score relative to tee rating and slope. Team iWR is the sum of the best qualifying player scores per event, averaged across the season.
+ Eligibility & qualifying rules
To appear in rankings a team or player must have posted at least 36 varsity holes to iWanamaker. Accepted combinations: 4 nine-hole rounds, 2 eighteen-hole rounds, or any mix totaling 36 holes. All rounds count toward the season iWR average. These rankings are strictly for promoting high school golf by the Northwest District Golf Coaches Association. Power rankings are updated Sunday evenings each week of the season.
